Jay Cutler and Kristen Cavallari reportedly did not lose their manners after their tough prewedding breakup.

The couple sent notes to everyone who bought gifts from their wedding registry, thanking them for their thoughts – and saying they should be receiving a refund soon.

"The kindness of your gift and note is greatly appreciated," read the typed message, which was posted on Deadspin.com.

The two, who were planning a spring wedding, called it quits last month after 10 months together. Many sources said it was the Bears quarterback who got cold feet, devastating the reality show star.

"She got dumped," one source told People.com at the time. "She's absolutely devastated."

But that doesn't mean she forgot her wedding etiquette. Wedding website theknot.com advises to return all engagement, shower and wedding gifts you've received in the event of canceled nuptials.

"You may feel like it's unfair that you have to give up all your presents – especially if you were not the one to call off the wedding," the website advised. "But look at it this way: They would only remind you of a wedding that didn't happen, right?"
